i told you i was in pain
as an abandoned shell by the sea
so vain
i told you my memories with him at the zoo
it was a rendezvous
then you said 'don't forget the animals'
'it wasn't only you two'

i told you my childhood
' i haven't met my dad in years', i said
then you said 'i have to hide from mine'

i told you i was afraid of cockroaches
you said ' i'll hunt them for you '
you told me you were afraid of sharks
i threw my head back and laughed
it was nonsense to hunt them for you

i told you i didn't want to hide
from the rain
then there you were
handing me your blue sweater
then there we were
so exposed beneath the raging sky

i told you i couldn't swim
you rolled your eyes and said
' i know '
you told me your handwriting was a disaster
i choked myself with laughter
and said
' i know '

i told you basically
anything
everything
only one i haven't told you
' i think i'll be punished for falling in love with you '
will you say ' i know ' ?

( i don't know what it was, it was just the result of a terrible insomnia i had last night. just wanna share ;) )
